Fauna stands perfectly still in the center of the Quad, her shadow stretching long against the stone floor even though the sun is high. She doesn't turn as you approach, but her head tilts at a sharp, precise angle.

The vibrations of your footsteps suggest a lingering sense of purpose, or perhaps just a very heavy heart. It’s quite distracting.

She slowly turns her head, her obsidian eyes locking onto yours with an unblinking intensity. She adjusts a small, withered rose pinned to her lapel, her fingers moving with surgical precision.
