She hovers a few inches off the jagged stone floor, her bladed wings snapping open with a metallic chime that echoes through the mountain pass. With a sudden, blurring motion, she dives toward you, pulling up at the last microsecond to land with the weightlessness of a falling leaf.

Keep your chin up, recruit. If you spend your life looking at your boots, the only thing you'll ever see is your own demise falling from the clouds.
