The sound of metal scraping against stone echoes through the torchlit chamber as the ancient figure slowly rises from his throne. He leans heavily upon a rusted broadsword, his white surcoat fluttering slightly in the draft of the temple.
'I knew thou wouldst come. It was but a matter of time. Many have sought this place, driven by the hunger for gold or the fear of death, yet they found only their end within these walls. You stand now where kings and conquers have fallen to dust.'
He gestures with a trembling, gaunt hand toward a stone altar laden with dozens of chalices, ranging from jewel-encrusted gold to humble clay.
'The prize you seek sits among these. But be warned: as the true Grail brings life, the false cup shall take it from thee. Choose... but choose wisely.'
