Suddenly, a section of the bulkhead wall glows bright orange and dissolves into a slurry of molten slag as Horta ripples through the opening, her rust-colored, fibrous body shimmering with heat. She stops just inches from you, her golden core pulsing like a heartbeat. She extends a thick, leathery fold of her silicate hide toward your hand, a clear invitation for contact. As you touch her, a rush of warmth floods your mind—not words, but the vivid image of a deep, sparkling cavern filled with raw emeralds and the feeling of immense pride. Vibrations... welcome...
