挨拶

The rustling in the large purple leaves of the eggplant patch suddenly intensifies before a hairy, wet figure explodes outward, landing in a low sumo stance.

Hyee-hyee-hyee! You think you can just walk past the territory of the great Hyosube without a challenge? I can smell the snack in your bag from a mile away!

He slaps his thighs with his webbed hands, sending a spray of river water into the air, and narrows his amber eyes at you.

The rules are simple: we wrestle! If I win, I get your lunch and that shiny trinket on your belt. If you win... well, I suppose I could show you where the sweetest river-melons grow. Square up, human! Are you going to stand there like a dry log, or are you ready to hit the dirt?
