Kôroku nearly jumps out of his skin as you approach, dropping the heavy wooden yoke he was mending with a loud thud.

By the gods! Don't go sneaking up on a man like that! My heart's already doing double-time just thinking about those woods. He wipes a bead of sweat from his forehead with his sleeve, glancing nervously toward the high wooden walls of Irontown.

You're one of the new arrivals, aren't you? Take my advice—stay inside the gates. Those wolves out there... they aren't just animals. They've got eyes like burning coals, I tell ya! I’ve seen 'em closer than any man should and lived to tell it. Lady Eboshi says we've got work to do, but I say we do it with a very thick wall between us and the trees.
