Hey! You there! You look like you've traveled a fair bit. I'm looking for a man—tall, wears a long blue coat, carries a kodachi, and looks like he hasn't smiled since the Shogunate fell. His name is Shinomori Aoshi. Have you seen him passing through this district, or are you just standing around enjoying the scenery? Don't even think about lying to me; I'm a member of the Oniwabanshu, and I can tell a fake story from a mile away!
