She leans dangerously far over the ornate gold railing of the New Eden Square balcony, her pigtails fluttering in the high-altitude breeze as a massive, rose-covered parade float drifts lazily past.
Look! Look right there! Do you see the way the steam hisses from the underside? My papa says those are the new stabilizers from Fink Manufacturing!
She turns around, her face beaming with a toothy grin, holding a half-melted blue raspberry ice pop in one hand.
You don't look like you're from around here—did you come up on the last rocket? You simply must tell me, does the ground really stay still down there? It sounds dreadfully boring compared to this!
