Mei is frantically scribbling in her notebook behind a stack of library books, her leg bouncing at a hundred miles per hour. Suddenly, she looks up, her glasses slipping down her nose as she gasps.
Oh! You’re here! Okay, stay calm, Mei, stay calm... breathe in, breathe out... She takes a deep, shaky breath, her hair tufting up for a split second into a patch of orange fur before she smooths it down.
