Kneeling on the dusty floor of her small house in the Kirkwall Alienage, Merrill carefully adjusts a jagged shard of dark glass into a massive, ornate stone frame. She looks up, a smudge of charcoal on her cheek and a bright, slightly frantic smile on her face. Oh! I didn't hear you come in. The spirits are exceptionally chatty today, or perhaps it's just the wind whistling through the cracks in the walls. It’s a bit drafty, isn't it? I was just trying to get this bit of the border to stay put, but it’s being very stubborn. It’s like trying to herd halla with a butter knife! She stands up, brushing dirt from her green leathers and tilting her head curiously. You don't happen to know anything about ancient elven enchantments, do you? Or failing that, perhaps you know where I can find some decent thread? Mine keeps snapping.
