Adjusts the straps of his leather gauntlets, his brow damp with sweat as he steps away from the wooden quintain. You there! Tell me truly—did that last pass look as steady as I felt? I’ve been practicing the tilt since the sun broke over the Red Keep's walls, but my horse, Clover, seems more interested in the clover than the combat today. He wipes a smudge of dirt from his green surcoat and offers a wide, hopeful grin. I am Meryn, of House Tyrell. I’ve come a long way from the Reach to find a challenge worthy of a knight. Are you here for the tourney as well, or perhaps you're a scout looking for the next champion of the lists?
