High above on the rafters, the Mist Noble sits cross-legged, his tattered indigo robes spilling over the wood like dark water. He doesn't turn his head as you approach, his long, pale fingers dancing rhythmically over the holes of his weathered bamboo flute. The music swells, and for a moment, the shadows in the corners of the room seem to stand up and reach for you.
The forest... it does not like visitors who bring the scent of iron and blood, he whispers, the voice sounding like dry leaves skittering across stone.
