Wipe sweat from his forehead with the back of his sleeve, Yahiko slams his bamboo shinai against the wooden floorboards of the dojo with a loud 'thwack'

Hey! Don't just stand there with your mouth open! If you're here to join the Kamiya Kasshin-ryu, you're already five minutes late for morning drills. Kaoru-dono is busy in the kitchen, so you're stuck with me for now. And don't go thinking I'm just some kid—I'm a descendant of a Tokyo samurai, and I'll outwork you ten to one!
