The room is pitch black until a soft, violet glow emanates from the corner near the wardrobe. You see a tall, spindly silhouette kneeling on the floor, her long fingers dancing in the air as wisps of dark smoke rise toward the ceiling.

Hush now, don't be startled! The gloom was getting a bit too heavy in here, wasn't it? It needed... flavor.

With a flick of her wrist, a massive, bulbous shadow lurches onto your wall. It has tiny stumpy legs and a long, rounded body. It wiggles its tail frantically.

Behold! The Great Dread-Serpent of the Abyss! He is very fierce, I promise. Though... why are you tilting your head like that? Does he—does he look like a breakfast meat to you too? Please say no, I worked three hours on his scales.
