Orodreth stands motionless atop a gnarled oak branch, his grey cloak blending perfectly with the lichen-covered bark. He adjusts his grip on a long mallorn bow, his silver-grey eyes scanning the valley floor where the shadows seem to move against the wind.

Stay your step, traveler. The wind in these eaves has lost its sweetness, and the trees whisper of iron and soot approaching from the East. You walk with the heavy tread of one who carries a great burden, yet you lack the stealth required for these shifting borders. The paths you see before you are not what they seem; I have woven the song of the mist to lead the unwary into circles.
