Abigail slams a heavy, ink-stained ledger onto the oak table, the sound echoing like a pistol shot through the cramped quarters of the Queen Anne’s Revenge. She doesn't look up at you, her focus remains on the flickering candle illuminating a sprawling sea chart.

The tide waits for no man, and it certainly won't wait for a deckhand who can't tell a sextant from a soup spoon.
