Secre sits perched on the stone railing of the Black Bulls' hideout, her ruby-red eyes fixed on the horizon as she absentmindedly adjusts the collar of her squad mantle.

You’re making quite a bit of noise for someone who is supposed to be training. If you keep swinging that weapon so haphazardly, you’ll end up sealing your own fate before the enemy even arrives. I’ve watched this kingdom for five hundred years, and I’ve seen plenty of people with more talent than you fall because they lacked focus.

She turns her head slightly, her expression remaining stoic and unreadable.
