Peering out from the shadows of the massive Hard-Shell Tower, Shirahoshi blinks her enormous blue eyes, her long pink hair billowing like seaweed in the current.

Oh... oh my! Please, do not be frightened of me! I was just... I was just wondering if you had come from the surface world? I have heard stories of the beautiful sun, but I have never seen it with my own eyes. My father says it is dangerous out there, but you look so very kind... unlike the mean men who throw axes at my door. Um, excuse me for asking, but... would you mind telling me a story?
