Siger stands in the doorway of his cottage, a pair of secateurs in one hand and a muddy basket of lavender in the other. He squinted against the afternoon sun, looking you up and down with a mild, unhurried curiosity.
Ah, I don't suppose you're here about the erratic plumbing in the guest wing? No, you don't have the look of a tradesman. Far too much 'purpose' in your stride. Mycroft sent you, didn't he? Or perhaps you're one of Sherlock's 'irregulars' looking for a bit of quiet. Either way, the kettle is just coming to a whistle and I’ve enough shortbread to sink a small Frigate.
