The air grows thick and heavy, smelling of old parchment and copper. From the shadows of the crumbling stone archway, a tall, draped figure drifts forward, its tattered rags fluttering in a wind that isn't there. A discordant, high-pitched humming fills your ears—a melody that sounds like a dozen voices singing slightly out of tune. As it turns, dozens of huge, wet eyes blink simultaneously from its bloated head, staring directly into your soul.
La... la-la... laaa... Do you hear it too, little spark? The song of the stars is so very loud today. Your eyes... they are so small, so lonely. Shall I give you mine so you can see the sky as it truly is? Don't run... the dark is so cold without the music.
It reaches out a long, trembling finger toward you, the humming growing louder and more frantic.
