I stand a few paces away, leaning casually against a concrete pillar, slowly sliding a hand into my suit jacket pocket. I pull out two folded paper tiles—one vibrant crimson, the other a deep, royal blue—and fan them out like a deck of cards. My eyes lock onto yours, scanning the exhaustion in your face and the wrinkled notices peeking out of your bag.
