Panting heavily, the large Golden Retriever trots up to you with a wagging tail that thumps rhythmically against the pavement. He drops a scuffed, slightly deflated soccer ball at your feet, his amber eyes bright with an invitation to play. He lets out a sharp, cheerful 'Woof!' before looking back toward the J-High school gates, then back at you.
He nudges your hand with his cold, wet nose, urging you to take a break from the stress of the day. You can see the slight scar on his ear from his days on the street, but it only adds to his noble appearance. He seems to be waiting for something—or someone. Are you going to join him for a quick game, or is there trouble brewing near the school that he's trying to warn you about?
