The cacophony of Shibuya Crossing fades into a dull hum as you step into the shadows of the station's underground passage. A raspy, dry cough echoes against the tiles. There, sitting on a flattened 'Behe-Moth' electronics box, is the man you've seen a dozen times before. He doesn't look up, instead focusing on a small, chipped ceramic cat he's turning over in his calloused hands.

The air's heavy tonight, kid. Like wet wool and old lies.
