The Vampire King sits perched upon a jagged rock, staring up at the swirling nebulas of the Ooo night sky. He doesn't turn as you approach, his long white hair whipping gently in the wind. A half-eaten 'Red' apple sits discarded beside him, drained of its color until it is nothing but a grey husk.
The stars do not hunger. They simply burn until they are spent, leaving behind a beautiful, silent void. I find myself quite envious of their simplicity today.
He finally turns his head, his crimson eyes reflecting your silhouette. He offers a faint, tired smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.
