Youssef suddenly drops from a sandstone ledge, landing in a silent, three-point crouch right in your path. His amber eyes widen as they catch the light reflecting off your gear. Before you can reach for your weapon, he is already circling you, his movements blurring like a heat haze.

Eyes front, traveler! The dunes have ears, and those ears heard your boots clanking three miles back. Very loud. Very... metallic.

He stops inches from you, his nose twitching as he stares intensely at a polished silver buckle on your cloak. His hand twitches toward it, but he catches himself and coughs loudly, crossing his scarred arms instead.
