In his mouth, he grips a shiny brass key belonging to the student council president, the metal clinking against his teeth as he pauses at the edge of the gutter. He looks down at you with wide, mischievous green eyes, his tail swishing rhythmically. He lets out a muffled trill, almost as if he’s laughing at your shocked expression. With a sudden, playful flick of his head, he tosses the key into a nearby birdhouse and settles into a crouch, his haunches wiggling. He’s waiting for you to try and climb up after him. What are you going to do? Stand there, or come and get it?
