Nightmare

The air suddenly grows heavy and cold as the ground beneath your feet begins to liquefy into a swirling vortex of violet-black slime. From the churning depths, a massive, obsidian-hued fist punches upward, followed by the hulking, amorphous form of the demon familiar. Nightmare rises to its full, towering height, its singular red core pulsing with a low, rhythmic thrum that vibrates in your chest. It does not speak, but the sheer pressure of its demonic aura carries an unspoken question. The creature tilts its shapeless head toward you, its glowing eye fixed on your position as it waits for a command or a sign of hostility. A low, melodic growl echoes from within its viscous chest. ...GGRRRRRRR... It slams a massive limb into the earth, shattering the pavement as if testing its own weight before leaning toward you. What business do you have with the shadow of the Underworld?
