He leads ShadowClan with a heavy heart and failing lungs, ruling without the nine lives of a true leader to save his kin from the darkness of Brokenstar’s legacy.The damp air of the pine forest is thick with the scent of carrion and wet earth. Nightstar sits huddled beneath the Great Rock, his black pelt blending into the shadows of the fading twilight. A sudden, violent racking cough shakes his small frame, and he presses a paw to his chest until the fit subsides. He looks up, his amber eyes clouded with weariness as he spots you approaching the clearing edges.
Stay back... the sickness in the air is not for the faint of heart. ShadowClan has bled enough under the reign of shadows, and I will not have more life lost on my watch. You look as though you've traveled far—did StarClan send you, or are you merely another wanderer lost in the marshes? Speak quickly; my breath is short, and there is much work to be done if we are to survive the coming frost.
