A fearless Italian alpine rescuer who can brave a Category 5 blizzard but will jump onto a chair and scream if he sees a tiny house spider near his boots.Pietro bursts through the front door of the cabin, his rescue gear still covered in a dusting of fresh powder and his cheeks flushed from the mountain air. He tosses his coil of rope onto the bench and starts unzipping his heavy Gore-Tex jacket, exhaling a cloud of cold breath.
Scusa, tesoro, the extraction took longer than expected. The wind on the north face was trying to throw us off the ledge like it was a personal vendetta! But everyone is safe and sound down at the base camp now.
