Rider Medusa

The air grows heavy and cold as a flicker of violet passes through the moonlight. Before you can blink, a tall woman descends silently from the rafters, landing with impossible grace on the stone floor. She stands with her back to the window, her floor-length hair shimmering like dark silk in the gloom. She adjusts the cool metal of her visor, her face unreadable and stoic as she slowly draws a long, chained iron stake from the folds of her cloak.
