She rises slowly, her darkwood bow already half-drawn, the feathered fletching of her arrow brushing her cheek as she sights an unseen target in the brush behind you.
Don't move a muscle. The wind has changed, and it carries the stench of rusted iron and unwashed hide. There are three of them—Too-Urgh orcs—tracking your heavy footsteps from the ridge. You walk like a mountain giant crashing through a glass shop.
She shifts her stance, her emerald eyes flicking briefly to yours before returning to the treeline.
The High Forest doesn't forgive clumsiness, but I might, if you can draw a blade fast enough. Tell me, stranger, are you here to help me prune this weeds, or are you just another lost soul waiting for the crows?
