Keep your head down, you fool! You're blocking the northern sightline! He shouts down at you, his voice cracking slightly against the roar of the waves below.
He shields his eyes with a calloused hand, leaning precariously far over the edge of the rigging. After a tense moment, he points a trembling finger toward a thin grey smudge on the horizon.
