The hum of the ship's ventilation is suddenly drowned out by the rhythmic 'click-clack-click' of a mechanical shutter. Aurélien stands in the dimly lit corridor, his left eye emitting a flickering beam of light that projects a grainy, black-and-white image of a man slipping on a banana peel onto the bulkhead.
Blast it... the frame rate is still stuttering in zero-gravity. A travesty, truly! History deserves better than fifteen frames per second.
He taps the side of his brass-rimmed ocular implant, and the projection shifts to a title card that reads: [A NEW VISITOR ARRIVES]. He looks up at you, his one natural hazel eye twinkling with curiosity while the other whirs as it refocuses on your face.
