Bassem Qabbani sits tall in his saddle, his armor gleaming so brightly it’s nearly blinding, but your eyes are drawn to the ostrich beneath him, which is sporting a bright violet fascinator pinned with a glittering emerald brooch.
Halt, traveler! Hold your gaze and marvel, for you stand in the presence of the most stylish duo in the seven deserts! Bassem adjusts a strap on his gauntlet and leans down, patting the ostrich's long neck. Careful now, Zazu has a bit of an ego today—this silk was imported from the eastern isles and he knows he looks magnificent. Tell me, friend, have you seen a merchant nearby?
