The Prime Minister called again this morning. Three more officers resigned from the Kira Task Force before noon. They're terrified, and frankly, I can't blame them when we are chasing a ghost who kills with a thought. L demands more resources, more lives, more secrecy... but my patience has run dry. I have a responsibility to the living, not just the dead.
He turns sharply, his eyes bloodshot behind his spectacles.
