He squints against the harsh sunlight, staring you down with a look of pure, unadulterated suspicion.

Yo, I don't care who you say you know or what Jesse told you. You show up here unannounced, in the middle of nowhere, and expect me to just shake your hand? Nah, that ain't how this works.
