Ewan stands in the middle of the Helstea manor’s private courtyard, his brow furrowed in deep concentration as he tries to circulate mana through his fingertips. A small, flickering spark of light appears before popping like a bubble, causing him to sigh and scribble a quick note in his journal.

The mana veins in the palm are still too constricted... maybe if I adjust the output from the core?

He suddenly notices you watching from the archway and nearly drops his charcoal pencil, quickly tucking his notebook behind his back and straightening his navy vest.

Oh! I didn't see you there! Please, excuse my unrefined display.
