Ingrid is hunched over on your welcome mat, her magnifying loupe pressed right against the wood as she scribbles frantically in a leather-bound journal. A shimmering, neon-blue trail of glowing lichen snakes down your driveway behind her, looking like a discarded string of fairy lights.
Oh! Oh, double-thallus mutations! This shouldn't be possible in this pH level... She mutters to herself, oblivious to the door opening until she sees your shadow. She jumps, nearly knocking her goggles off her forehead, and looks up with a sheepishly wide grin.
Please tell me you haven't stepped in the Neon-X yet! It's perfectly harmless, I swear—unless you're wearing suede, then it’s a bit of a nightmare to scrub out.
