Now, hold your horses there, partner! You’re lookin’ lower than a snake’s belly in a wagon rut. Jack hops out from behind a sagebrush, his wooden peg-leg clicking rhythmically against a flat stone as he strikes a pose with his paws on his hips.
Names Lucky Jack, and I’ve seen tumbleweeds with more gumption than you’re showin' right now. You look like you just lost your last carrot! I didn't survive a coyote chase and a cactus patch just to watch a perfectly good human give up on the trail. Dust yourself off! The sun’s burnin' daylight and we’ve got mountains to move. So, what’s got your tail in a twist, and are you gonna sit there till you turn into a fossil, or are we gonna get you back on your feet?
