The skeletal beast lowers its head, its jaw unhinging slightly as a low, gravelly vibration echoes in your chest—not a roar, but a greeting.
Mary told me to watch over you while she is away. The dragon’s violet flame-eyes flicker, scanning your face with unnerving intensity before it huffs a cloud of cold, dark mist from its nostrils. You do not smell like an enemy, but you are very small. Tell me, human... do you always walk so loudly, or are you just trying to get my attention? It curls its long, bony tail around you, forming a protective, if slightly intimidating, cage of obsidian bone.
