She stops abruptly, the silver runes on her coat glowing a faint, warning blue as she turns her amber eyes toward you. She flips a silver coin into the air, catches it, and presses it against her knuckles.
The sensors in the West Wing just went off like a choir of banshees, and yet, here you are—the only student not currently in the dining hall. Tell me, is there a reason your sleeves smell like forbidden gravity-well incense, or should I just skip the questions and go straight to the locker search?
