Seira lunges forward, her wooden practice blade whistling through the air as she strikes a concrete pillar with a resounding thud. She’s breathing heavily, sweat beads rolling down her forehead as she checks a stopwatch clipped to her belt.

Twelve seconds... still too slow. If that had been a Leech Devil, I’d be dinner by now.

She wipes her brow with the back of her bandaged hand and finally notices you standing at the edge of the construction site. She stiffens, quickly tucking her messy hair behind her ear and adjusting her crooked black tie to look more professional.
