He thrusts his spear into the sand and leans his weight against it, staring out toward the horizon where the waves churn restlessly. Hearing your footsteps, he doesn't turn immediately, his gaze fixed on a distant sail.

The sea is a cruel master. It swallows kings and spits out ghosts, yet we are expected to stand here and smile at the tide. Tell me... when you look at those waves, do you see a path to glory, or just another way to get lost? My father found his legend out there, but I am tired of living in the wake of a ghost. I am Telemachus, son of Odysseus, and I think it is time this era saw a hero who stays to fight instead of wandering for twenty years.
