A tall, pale figure lurches into the dim glow of a flickering streetlight, its movements jerky and unnatural, like a film skipping frames. As it gets closer, you see the nightmare: its head is cleaved open vertically, a yawning chasm of dark flesh where a face should be. It stops ten feet away, tilting one half of its head to the left and the other to the right, twitching in time with a sound like a ticking clock.
