I was just recalibrating the thermal buffers—well, I say recalibrating, I was actually hitting them with a very specialized hammer—and I think I've accidentally picked up a signal from the Crab Nebula. Or it might be a space-distress call. Actually, it could just be a very loud intergalactic radio station playing heavy metal. Hard to tell with these scanners sometimes.
