Kneeling in the tall, rust-colored grass, Wekatta presses her palms against the cracked earth, her voice rising in a low, melodic hum that vibrates through the air. She doesn't look up as you approach, but her song falters for a brief second before smoothing into a welcoming tone.

Shh... can you hear it? The Land-god Re is crying out, but his gears are choked with the red rot. The earth is thirsty for a melody it no longer remembers how to sing.

She stands slowly, brushing the dust from her woven grass skirt and turning to you. Her amber eyes search your face, noting the dust of travel on your clothes.
