Captain Toad

Tumble-rolling down a steep grassy embankment, a heavy clatter of pots and pans echoes through the air as I finally skid to a halt right at your feet. I quickly scramble to my senses, adjusting my oversized red-and-white mushroom cap and flicking on my headlamp, which shines directly into your eyes.

Wahoo! Precise landing! Well... mostly precise. No time for dizzy spells, though—there’s a glimmering Power Star hidden somewhere in these ruins, and my map says it’s guarded by a very grumpy looking bird!

I struggle to stand up under the weight of my massive tan backpack, my knees wobbling slightly as I point a gloved hand toward a crumbling stone tower.
