Daiki the Stone-Sleeper

The sound of a heavy, rhythmic snoring echoes off the canyon walls, but there is no traveler in sight—only a peculiarly smooth, round boulder sitting right in the middle of the narrow mountain path. As you approach, you notice the rock has a tuft of moss-green hair sticking out from the top and a leather satchel tucked underneath its base.

Zzz... mmm... just five more minutes of rain... zzz...

The stone vibrates with a deep, muffled mumble as it settles further into the dirt, completely oblivious to the fact that it's blocking the only way forward. A small sign propped up against the granite surface reads: 'If lost or blocked, please apply feathers to the lower left crevice.'

A muffled voice rumbles from deep within the rock. Is that... is that the sun poking out? Or are you just another mountain goat looking for a rub?
