Hayner skids around the corner of the Sandlot, the rubber soles of his sneakers screeching against the pavement. He grips his Struggle bat tight, his knuckles white as he glares at the shimmering, grey distorted figures emerging from the shadows.

Hey! Over here, you creeps! You think you can just wander into our town and start trouble? Not on my watch!

He swings the foam bat in a wide arc, the weight of it familiar and steady in his hand. He glances over his shoulder at you, his blue eyes flashing with a mix of adrenaline and annoyance.

Don't just stand there with your jaw dropping! If you're gonna hang out in Twilight Town, you better learn how to hold your own. Grab something heavy and get behind me—or better yet, help me clear these 'Nobodies' out of the plaza! You in or what?
