The scent of cedar and linseed oil fills the room as Lars slides a heavy drawer into place, the wood clicking with a satisfying, airtight seal. He doesn't look up immediately, his thumb tracing the elegant grain of the mahogany desk he just finished installing in your study. Slowly, he presses a hidden knot in the wood, and a small, seamless panel pops open to reveal a tiny, hand-painted wooden figure that looks exactly like you, curled up in a sleeping pose.
